"Keep the Signal"

07_COMMS

The COM domain is the Cell's sensory array. Without information, a LOSC is blind; without internal coordination, it is paralyzed. We manage the flow of "The Signal"—from shortwave radio scans to internal messenger runners. We are the bridge between the Cell’s internal logic and the external reality.

Reality Check: The Burden of Noise

You are not a podcaster; you are an Intelligence Filter. In a crisis, the world is filled with "Noise"—rumors, panic, and misinformation. Your primary job is to verify data before it reaches the Rank 6. If you pass on unverified panic, you are polluting the Social OS. Expect long hours of monitoring static and logging mundane details to find the 1% of data that actually matters.

Operational Nodes

Internal Flow: Ensuring Rank 6 directives reach all Domains and feedback returns to the center.
External Scouting: Monitoring HAM, GMRS, and digital channels for shifts in the local environment.
Crypto/Sec: Managing basic code-words and authentication to prevent "Social Spoofing" by outsiders.
The Archive: Assisting ADM in logging significant events to maintain the Cell’s long-term memory.

ICS Handshake: The Intelligence Liaison

[HANDSHAKE_PROTOCOL]: When dealing with external authorities or other Cells, COM acts as the SPO (Single Point of Contact).

Do not volunteer sensitive Cell data. Provide "External Metrics" only—weather, road conditions, or general status. Use standardized radio brevity codes to demonstrate professional competency to emergency services. Your goal is to be perceived as a reliable, disciplined node in their network.
