Local Operating Social Cell // Structural Codex

The Local Operating Social Cell (LOSC) is a post-crisis governance architecture. It is not a legacy political system, but a biological operating system designed to convert human potential into kinetic survival through minimal administration and strict operational failsafes. Survival and ethics are mathematically intertwined: trust lowers systemic friction, and friction is paid for in calories.

I. Civic Utility // The Ranks

Custody -1
Active threat or disciplined actor. Stripped of all civic autonomy. Operational sub-states dictate containment (total lockdown) or supervised labor detail.
Neutral Baseline 0
Total non-utility. Sleep, critical medical trauma, or the immediate baseline following executive deposition. Entirely dependent on the cell for perimeter defense.
Minimal Utility 1
Off-duty, light-duty medical, youth, or minimum-security probation. Capable of observation and minor tasks but shielded from the heavy physical and operational load.
Generalist 2
The bleeding heart of the LOSC. Full operational utility. Together, they constitute the Sovereign Mandate. The Captain points, and Rank 2 pushes.
Apprentice 3
Self-declared dedication to a specific Domain. Taking on the cognitive friction of study while maintaining Rank 2 generalist duties.
Specialist 4
Autonomous mastery of a Domain's "patch of land" baseline. Holds independent clearance to execute critical system repairs and protocols.
Domain Lead 5
The Domain Monarch. Sets standards and protects the specialists. Four Rank 5s form the Quartet Republic, acting as the legislative check against the Captain.
Captain 6
Singular executive command. Absolute authority in daily operations and crisis response. Policed entirely by the Republic Quartet and the Sovereign Mandate.

II. Operational Pillars // The Domains

Security SEC
Takes life and guards the perimeter. Enforces internal clearance and physical law.
Medical MED
Saves life and guards the biology. Maintains the authority to override labor demands to protect the human asset.
Administration ADM
The objective memory of the cell. Logs shifts, mandates, laws, and rank transitions.
Sustenance SUS
Manipulates the organic world. Manages agriculture, soil integrity, hunting, and food preservation.
Engineering ENG
Manipulates the inorganic world. Masters of motion and light. Manages physical architecture and power grids.
Communications COM
The nervous system. Manages radio wavelengths, courier routes, and external diplomacy.
Education EDU
The cognitive anchor. Structures curriculum, verifies competency transitions, and prevents knowledge hoarding.
Infrastructure INF
Builds and maintains the foundational architecture of the camp. Warehouses, housing, and structural longevity.

III. Vectors // Rank Transitions

Activation 1 → 2
Entering the main labor line. Driven by clocking in, medical clearance, or overcoming Domain-Specific Resistance.
The Consent Gap 2 → 3
Pure volition. A self-declared leap into apprenticeship that requires no external approval, only the willingness to learn.
The Zero Drop 6 → 0
A deposed Captain is stripped instantly to Rank 0 to force a physical and political cooling-off period. Anti-coup failsafe.
Dropping the Hat 3 → 2
A voluntary, penalty-free exit from apprenticeship back to the general labor pool to prevent cognitive burnout.
