[PACKET_04_ADM]: THE BURN-RATE LEDGER
OBJECTIVE: Prevent resource exhaustion through rigorous mathematical tracking.
I. THE "DAYS OF SURVIVAL" FORMULA
To calculate how much "runway" the cell has left:
Formula: Total Quantity / (Number of People x Daily Ration) = Days Remaining.
Example: 100 lbs Rice / (10 people x 0.5 lbs/day) = 20 Days.
II. CRITICAL TRACKING CATEGORIES
Cals (Calories): The absolute floor for group stability.
H2O (Water): Minimum 1 gallon/person/day (Drinking + Hygiene).
BTU (Fuel): Wood, propane, or battery cycles for heat/cooking.
Med (Medical): Count by "Units" (e.g., individual bandage packs, doses of antibiotics).
III. ASCII SPREADSHEET (TEXT-BASED LOG)
Keep this logged on paper or a low-power digital device.
Plaintext
[ RESOURCE INVENTORY: BARE METAL ]
ITEM | ON HAND | DAILY USE | DAYS LEFT | STATUS
-----------|---------|-----------|-----------|-------
RICE (LB) | 140 | 4.0 | 35 | OK
WATER (GAL)| 50 | 10.0 | 5 | CRIT!!
FUEL (LOG) | 200 | 8.0 | 25 | WARN
AMMO (RD) | 500 | -- | -- | OK
[NOTES]:
- Water source check required by Day 3.
- Ration reduction of 10% recommended for Fuel.
IV. THE FIDUCIARY HANDSHAKE
In the LOSC, the Administrator (ADM) is a "Trustee." They do not own the food; they manage the trust of the group.
Transparency: Post the "Days Left" numbers publicly. It reduces anxiety by replacing "uncertainty" with "known limits."
The Buffer: Always subtract 15% from your "Total Quantity" before calculating. This creates a hidden safety net for spoilage or emergencies.
V. RATIONING LOGIC
Normal: 2,000 - 2,500 kcal/day.
Sustainable Stress: 1,500 kcal/day.
Emergency Floor: 1,200 kcal/day (Weight loss occurs; physical output drops).
