The Allegory of the Six Garments

We, the architects of this Federation, do not claim to possess the mind of the Ultimate Source. We offer this translation of the Six Divine Trusts—not as an absolute theological decree, but as the philosophical aesthetic through which we discover our duty. The Law is merely our attempt to trace the edges of a Divine Physics that exists whether we name it or not.

I. The Garment of the Free

Woven from light and kinetic potential. It grants absolute dominion over one's movement, labor, and thoughts. Its only tether is the Law of Proximity: Man may move anywhere, provided his garment does not violently tear the garment of another. It is the baseline state of existence.

II. The Garment of the Aberrant

The moment the hidden crime brushes against the physical realm—via suspicion, optics, or resistance—the Third Garment ignites. It is a suit of fire and friction. A volatile, high-energy interface that warns the waveform of reality is collapsing and must be stabilized.

III. The Garment of the Criminal

When Man tears the fabric of his neighbor's peace, he invisibly strips away the First Garment and enters the Second. It is heavy, dark, and initially invisible to the world. It is the immediate, spiritual weight of the broken covenant, existing as an objective reality even before a human eye has witnessed the transgression.

IV. The Garment of the Arrested

A suit of iron and glass. Kinetic movement is paused to prevent further harm, but the glass protects the Man; his divine rights to life and safety remain absolute. He sits in the stillness of the Fourth Garment while the community searches for the truth of the broken covenant.

V. The Garment of the Inmate

The Garment of the Anchor. It binds the Man to time and restricted space, acting as the mathematical penance required to balance the equation of the transgression. Once the lifespan of the Anchor expires, the debt is paid, the suit dissolves, and the Man is returned to the Garment of the Free.

VI. The Garment of the Guardian

The Vocation of the Shield. This is a voluntary ascent into higher liability. It grants no power, only the burden of protection. The Guardian has chained their own freedom to the safety of the neighbor. To violate this garment is not merely a crime—it is a sacrilege against the Vocation of the Shield.

Technical Protocols of the Libera Federation

While the description above provides an aesthetic framework for understanding our station, the model below constitutes the direct application of law within the Libera Federation. These clauses are viewed as philosophical discoveries rather than arbitrary legal constructs.

0.1 The Codex of Discovery

Whereas the American Constitution held Rights as endowed to man by God, we agree, but add a specific discovery: God endowed Man with Trusts. While all Trusts inherit Rights, they are not universal; some specific Rights maintain pervade through all Trusts between God and Man, while other rights exist only under particular Trusts between God and man. Each of these Trusts has a an Ens Legis, the "face" or "suit" of the Trust that we engage with. This distinction is the bedrock of our justification for when Rights are upheld, and when they are necessarily restricted.

The metaphor of "garments" are these varying Trusts from God, like a wardrobe that sits beside us and can exchange based on our actions.

Except where said otherwise, we assign the Man as beneficiary, the Ens Legis as Trustee, and the Grantor as God.

0.2 Further Defined

I. The Trust of the Free

The Trust of freedom is where the Man maintains the power to alternate at will between Beneficiary and Trustee. The Ens Legis always takes the opposite title. This Trust confers the widest latitude of Rights within the Federation. Under this status, the Man cannot be detained, arrested, interrogated, or have his property seized; his pursuit of freedom, truth, compassion, and justice is to remain unhindered by administrative interference.

II. The Trust of the Aberrant

This status is activated when a Man is suspect at large and enforcement (citizen or otherwise) must perform an arrest. The Aberrant is not a Criminal defined; however, the existence of Reasonable Articulable Suspicion (RAS) triggers this Trust. During the state of the Aberrant, the Man retains the right to silence and the right to go peaceably; he may pose inquiries necessary for his own physical safety or to clarify the RAS.

Defense against Extortion: If an attempt to arrest is demonstrably an act of extortion or criminal detention under color of law, resistance is defensible. However, when an arrest is predicated on genuine, valid Reasonable Articulable Suspicion, the Man’s duty is to comply, even if he has committed no crime. The Tribunal shall adjudicate the validity of the RAS post-stabilization; and could attribute resistance as either criminal or self defense, depending on the conduct of the arrestor and the legitimacy of the RAS

IV. The Trust of the Arrested

This is the Trust of Investigation and Due Process. It is not a state of punishment. A Man occupying this status maintains the presumption of innocence; his detention is strictly for the purpose of clarifying the event in question.

Inviolable Rights of the Arrested:

  • Right to Silence: The Arrested may refuse to provide testimony or answers to investigative inquiry without that silence being construed as evidence of guilt.
  • Right to Representation: The Arrested retains the right to secure legal counsel or representation of his choosing to oversee the integrity of the investigation.
  • Right to Safety and Dignity: Custody must not impede the pursuit of health, comfort, or safety to the maximum extent feasible. The Arrested is not an Inmate; he is a Citizen under administrative hold.
  • Right to Inquiry: The Arrested may seek clarification regarding the specific grounds for his detention, and the Arrestor is under an affirmative duty to provide the legal basis for the hold.

Fiduciary Custody Clause: Upon the transition of a Man into the Trust of the Arrested (under arrest), the Arrestor (or the holding authority) assumes a Fiduciary Duty of Guardianship. The holding authority is legally liable for the physical and procedural safety of the Arrested. Any harm visited upon the Arrested during this status—whether by omission or commission—constitutes a breach of the Guardian Trust and invalidates the legal status of the Arrested hold.

Fiduciary Freedoms Clause: the Man may only be arrested based on the nature of suspicion. Any Rights which do not impede investigation are to be retained.

II. The Trust of the Criminal

The Criminal Trust is an objective historical coordinate, not a perpetual identity. It constitutes the "Errata" in a Man's history. It exists the exact moment the man violates a covenant, directly resulting in the violation of another man's rights.

The Tribunal does not create a Criminal; the Tribunal merely confirms the historical fact that this Trust was formed. The establishment of this Errata is the prerequisite determination of guilt, required before the Tribunal may authorize the transition into the Trust of the Inmate. The Man under Criminal Trust shall remain under Arrest until the transition to Inmate is complete.

V. The Trust of the Inmate

The Trust of the Inmate is the Trust of the Adjudicated Debt. To be an "Inmate" within the Federation does not inherently mandate physical incarceration within a state facility. Rather, it signifies that the Man is a resident of the Sentence.

The "Anchor" of this Ens Legis is the specific, calculated penance required to balance the historical Errata (the Crime). The parameters of the Anchor—whether physical confinement, strict community supervision, or mandatory restitution—form the "walls" of the Inmate's condition. The Man remains an Inmate until the Anchor is completely lifted, a debt which cannot be voided by jurisdictional flight.

VI. The Trust of the Guardian

The Guardian is the Vocation of the Shield. It is a voluntary ascent into a higher liability. This Trust grants no inherent superiority, but rather imposes the burden of protection and the stricteer boundaries than in common life. To violate the parameters of this Trust is to commit a sacrilege against the Vocation itself, subjecting the Guardian to immediate reclassification under the Criminal Ens Legis with aggravated accountability.

To put this into perspective: The people are born Free. When they commit a Crime they are a Criminal even if there is no current record of it. Only a future record can correct the matter. If they are caught there may be attempts to arrest them which becomes Aberrant. This event of Aberration is considered a risky time where suspicions are unclear and everyone involved is under a fiduciary duty to act responsibly. The Aberration is meant to lead one into having a Guardian make an Arrest, relying on Reasonable Articulable Suspicion, and then a cautious, peacable transition into a holding centre. The Arrested, should the suspicion be valid, beomes an Inmate, paying the debt of the Crime until the debt is paid and they once again become Free.

The Designation of Trusts makes the transitions clear. What Rights does one have? That depends entirely on the Trust in effect. The man carries a persona, an Ens Legis, that reflects their trust in that moment. While common language already intuitively follows a process that people recognize (eg: This man is free, or a criminal, or an inmate, or is under arrest), this process formalizes the matter to prevent chaos in a situation that can be critical to those involved.
