Our diplomatic associations function as a tiered progression. With the exception of Diplomatic Concern and Nuclear status, which operate outside the standard progression, the following categories form a cumulative ladder. Each subsequent tier inherently absorbs and includes all the standing, rights, and recognitions of the tier beneath it.
Crucially, the Federation draws a strict constitutional boundary regarding the nature of the entity being recognized: Tiers 1 through 4 may be applied to either Nations or Networks (including corporate entities and collectives), while Tier 5, Tier 6, and Nuclear status are strictly reserved for recognized Nations.
Entities with whom we strive to maintain peaceful relations, though stability cannot be guaranteed. Our absolute priority in these relationships is careful, active diplomacy.
Our baseline neutral stance. We formally codify their existence as a Nation or Network, though we lack clarity regarding their moral positioning or intentions toward the Federation.
Applied when an entity formally recognizes the Libera Federation. By virtue of this mutual acknowledgment, a registered entity is inherently Recognized by us. Corporate bodies and operational networks typically enter our association at this tier.
Applied to entities where we identify the potential for mutual aid. Building upon our mutual registration, we actively extend offers of friendly exchange and cooperation.
Entities that operate upon a philosophical foundation identical to our own. As recognized, registered, and advocated peers, we extend full and complete friendly exchange. This represents the absolute highest tier of association attainable by a Network or corporate entity.
Nations integrated directly within our Federation. While retaining distinct cultural characteristics, they are legally bound to our shared foundation. Building upon their Allied status, Federated members are granted the power to influence and shape the laws of the central Federation.
Nations connected to the Federation logistically as well as philosophically. Expanding upon their Federated rights, these entities adopt our core customs, integrated structures, and utilize our logical languages and interfaces for seamless operation.
Nations that serve an essential, centralized nucleus role within the Federation. These specialized entities are directly forged, regulated, or dissolved by the Federation itself, and their governing bodies operate strictly as extensions of the central Federation government. There are currently two recognized Nuclear Nations:
A specialized sovereign domain engineered for rapid logistical expansion and contraction to address civilization breaches or conflicts. Permanent residency is structurally prohibited; it operates as a stabilization zone where the strategic planning for a refugee's onward immigration commences the exact moment they enter.
The legislative and administrative heart of the Federation where all national delegates convene. Citizenship is strictly conditional upon securing employment that primarily or secondarily sustains the republic and the overarching operational needs of the Federation council.
