The Motives of the Common Man

A structural mapping of biological imperatives and the forces that systematically oppose them.
I. Survival
The baseline biological imperative: reaching death by old age. The foundational goal required to support all subsequent motives, despite the artificially mysterious shroud of death.
II. Procreation
The immediate genetic objective. A primary societal and evolutionary expectation.
III. Family Support
Ensuring the survival of the offspring. The localized protection of the genetic legacy.
IV. Contribution
The distant, transcendent goal. Advancing society for other commoners or establishing a perpetual personal dynasty.
Starvation
External deprivation. The failure of the environment to provide the necessary resources to sustain the biological machine.
Disease
Internal entropy. The biological breakdown or pathogenic corruption of the physical form.
Psychological Collapse
Internal fracture. Insanity resulting from the inability of the mind to process or withstand the continuous trauma and stress of survival.
Social Collapse
External violence. Murder and harm resulting from the broken social contract, as others externalize their psychological failures onto you.
The Empirical Push
Systemic, engineered hostility. An institutional or macro-level force that actively threatens survival, operating by design rather than individual madness.
